God places people in our paths for growth, support, consolation and celebration for you and for them. You may be the receiver or the giver. Those relationships can lead to friendships but sometimes they result in trials. Always remember that the life you live as a result of these acquaintances can always be seen by others. And let me tell you, people are curious to see how you handle them.
Others will be curious about why you walk and talk the way you do, why you have the faith and hope through the hard times and unspeakable joy through the good times. Curiosity may be all it takes for someone to ask questions, want to learn more, or want some of what you have. Always be ready to answer that question - Why are you the way you are?.
1 Peter 3:15-16 says "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts; and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ."
Live up to what you believe and be prepared to answer to those who may not understand. Be respectful and humble in your response. Every question like this can be opportunity to share God's Plan of Salvation. How you respond and how you live will have an impact on someone's life. Ask yourself this questions - How did I react or respond to the last conflict in my life? Was it the way God would have me handle that situation?
God is giving you an opportunity to witness to someone through the good and the bad. Your witnessing may not be you speaking to that person, it may just be someone witnessing your actions. Keep a clear conscience - know what you say and do is right and honest and those you speak against you will be ashamed for slandering you.
We need people and relationships on this Earth. God fashioned us for fellowship. Use them for His good and He will bless you for it.
